Overview
Back to topMainly when you are running an online store then many times the situation occurs when you require to restrict the users in particular parts of your store. Else there is a requirement when you are in the plan of holding your user base persistent and long-term for safeguarding the confidentiality of your online store from your competitors that are in the same business. When you display all the products to all the general public then this will help your competitors to take advantage. Hold your all customers outside the specific pages if they are not logged in.
Xprogento has developed Force Login for Magento 2 extension to implement this force login feature in Magento 2 store. This extension helps the admin control and restrict the various page accesses. Customers must log in to access the restricted content or pages of the website. And for the website with huge traffic might find it difficult in identifying potential buyers. So in such cases, implementing this force login feature will make it easy for the admin to focus on potential customers and also offer a better customer experience.
The extension forces the visitors to sign up and log in to access the particular content/pages. It helps the admin to collect the data of the potential customers, which can be further used for marketing purposes! Let’s take a look at the features that Magento 2 Force Login extension has to offer!
Key Features:
- Require login to access specific pages
The admin can restrict Product Page, Category Page, Cart Page, Checkout Page, Search Term Page, Advanced Search Page, Search Results Page, and Other CMS Pages from unwanted users, to be exact, the non-logged-in customers. Such a force login function is critical to protect valuable contents such as price or product information.
- Display Custom Alert Message
With our Force Login extension, the admin can set the custom message to notify customers when they visit a required login page. So, whenever visitors try to access the restricted pages without logging in, they will be automatically sent to the sign-in page. A custom message will be shown accordingly to inform them of the force login functionality.
- Hide or show the account registration form
Based on marketing purposes, the admin can decide whether to enable the default registration form for users to sign up for new accounts. If not, customers can contact the admin to create an account from the backend.
- Set URLs to Redirect Customers
Once customers login to their accounts successfully, they should be redirected to another page to continue their shopping process. This is a make-or-break experience. Using the Force Login for Magento 2 extension, the admin can choose among 4 redirection methods:
- Default: Send the logged-in customers to their Account Dashboard
- Home Page
- Previous URL: Send the customers to the page they were planning to see before being required to login
- Custom URL: Enter a specific URL, for example, the Best-seller Products page
