Overview

When a customer places an order on your website, they want to know when they can expect to receive their purchase.

Providing an estimated delivery date gives them the information they need to make an informed decision about whether to complete their purchase. In addition, estimated delivery dates can help to reduce cart abandonment by setting the right customer expectations.

If a customer knows that their purchase will arrive within a specific timeframe, they are less likely to abandon their cart before checkout. By providing accurate and realistic estimated delivery dates, you can improve the customer experience and boost sales.

  • Improve customer satisfaction by providing realistic delivery estimates
  • Reduce cart abandonment rates by setting accurate expectations
  • Increase transparency and trustworthiness with customers

Online shoppers expect their orders to be delivered on time. That's why you should provide estimated delivery dates across your website, from product pages to the checkout page. Our Estimated Delivery Date solution for Magento helps you:

Wave goodbye to ‘Where Is My Order' (WISMO) queries blocking up your customer service teams by proactively communicating delivery statuses.

Boost Customer Retention

Display the estimated delivery date and make your customers feel confident in their purchase by being informative, consistent, and proactive.

Reduce Failed Deliveries

Allow your customers to plan their week ahead without having to worry about missing an important at-home delivery.

Make accurate predictions and display the estimated shipment date by taking multiple aspects into consideration. Our solution lets you create:

  • One flat delivery estimate rule for all products.
  • Delivery estimates based on product category.
  • Delivery estimates based on individual products.

More Than An Estimated Shipping Date

The estimated ship date is no longer enough. Customers don't want to calculate any delivery delays or make an educated guess. They want to know the exact date of delivery, and they want throughout the shopping and post-purchase journey.

Look at your previous delivery timeline, shipping delays, and shipping speed to determine how long it'll take for the package to arrive.

Don't settle for standard carrier ship dates, let customers know exactly when their order is going to arrive at their doorsteps.

How's the estimated delivery time calculated?

How do we calculate the estimated delivery date displayed on your website?

Our solution uses past data and customer location analytics to provide an accurate estimated delivery date, which is based on several factors, including the shipping method, the day and time they place an order, and whether or not they have any items in your cart that are backordered or out of stock.

The shipping calculator uses all historical data available, also taking into account weekends and holidays, to ultimately predict processing time. It then adds transit time upon which courier and shipping option is chosen.

To provide the most accurate results, we collect the zip code of the customer’s location to ensure that the estimated due date is based on the unique delivery area of their choice.

By taking all of these factors into account, you'll be able to provide our customers with a realistic estimate of when their purchase will arrive.

Going beyond the estimated shipping time and providing customers with accurate estimated delivery dates is key for customer success.

There's no need to stress over communicating shipping dates and delivery times. Our solution can be added to a variety of pages to ensure your customers can easily find their expected delivery date:

  • Product Page: Auto-detects customer location.
  • Cart Page: When a customer gets shipping estimates.
  • Checkout Page: When a customer selects the shipping method.
