Magento 2 Scan and Go extension facilitates the customers with a self-checkout system for the admin's physical retail stores.

The customers scan the product barcode using their mobile web browsers which adds the item automatically to their carts.

Upon successfully checking out and placing the order, a QR code is generated.

A verifier designated by the admin then reviews the order status and confirms it using their verifier account. Admin appoints a verifier from the backend.

The extension can be activated and deactivated by the admin from the backend.

Store Admin Workflow

Initial Configuration

After installing Magento 2 Scan and Go extension by Webkul, the store admin will perform the following functions,

• Enable or disable the Scan and Go functionality from the backend.
• Assign a verifier account from backend for verifying the orders.

Customer Workflow

Once enabled by the admin, the customer will navigate to the retail store's online website through their mobile web browser. Next, they have to perform the following,

• Open the barcode scanner from the designated icon.
• Allow camera permissions and scan product barcode to add it to cart.
• Increase or decrease product quantity as per requirement.
• Place the order and generate the order QR Code.
• Get their order verified by the Verifier by getting the QR code scanned.

Verifier Workflow

The orders placed by customers are verified by an admin appointed verifier. The verification process is as follows,

• Admin assigns a customer account as Order Verifier from backend.
• Verifier logs in to their account and taps on Verify Order to open QR code scanner.
• With the help of QR Code scanner, they verify the order by scanning QR code.
