Note: To connect the OpenCart APIs so as to connect the OpenCart store with the Magento store then you must install the OpenCart Akeneo Connector in your OpenCart store.
Store Admin Workflow
Add OpenCart API
The admin to connect the Opencart store with the Magento store needs to enter a few details in the plugin’s configuration in the Magento backend panel. The admin of the OpenCart store will get the API user name and API key from the OpenCart store backend.
Apart from that, in the OpenCart backend, the admin will enter the IP address of the Magento store where the products are to be imported.
After that, the admin will enter the details in the plugin configuration section at the Magento backend.
Attribute Mapping
The Magento store admin can easily map the OpenCart product attributes with the Magento store attributes as required. After the mapping of the simple product attributes the admin will be able to import and reimport the products as required.
Import Products
The admin can import simple products for now from the OpenCart store to the Magento store. To do so, the admin will first choose to import the products and after that run the profiler to create the OpenCart products in the Magento store.
ReImport Products
The admin can also reimport the products that have already been imported. To do so, the admin needs to select the imported products and from the actions dropdown select the reimport option.
