    eBay is amongst one of the most recognized marketplaces in the world. It connects buyers and sellers around the globe. eBay platform allows sellers to offer thousands of products and services to customers.

    eBay Connector extension will allow the merchants to integrate the eBay marketplace with the Magento online store. The admin can import information related to products, categories, and orders from the eBay store to the Magento store. The admin can also export the product from the Magento store to the eBay store. The admin can provide eBay specifications, variations, refund policy, shipping details for exported products. This will allow better management of multi-channel selling wherein the store owner can closely link the website and eBay store. The customer will have an advantage as now they can purchase on any platform (that is the web store or eBay store). The integration will have an additional advantage of benchmarking wherein the royalty of eBay plays a vital role. That is, the listing of products on eBay will assure the customer of good quality. Thus, in turn, helping the enhancement of sales on the website too.

     

    Business Value

    The store owner can list the products on multiple e-commerce websites. But managing product inventories on both ends becomes difficult. With the use of the eBay connector, the admin can do integration between the eBay and Magento store. Whenever a product is sold on eBay, the stock will be updated in the Magento store. Apart from stock, if the admin updates the synced product information on one end, it gets updated at the other end.

    An additional account is needed to use this extension, the admin must have an eBay account to get the eBay Developer Keys for integration.

    How Does The Extension Work?

    Setup eBay API

    The admin can enter the details in the field attribute set id, eBay global sites, eBay user id, authentication token, developer token, application id, certification id, application runame, mode (live or standalone), and shop's postal code. 

     

    Real-Time Information Update

    The admin will define only the information that will be updated on the store when an eBay event occurs and the action that will take place when an item is sold. Import eBay categories: the admin can import the eBay categories for mapping the category data.

     

    Revise eBay Items

    Define the revised eBay item automatically on the eBay store as yes or no. Besides, the admin will select all the eBay item imports with the specification or only the required eBay items with the specification will be imported.

     

    Return Policy

    State the return policy, returns within a particular date, shipping pay by, refund,  other information as related to the return policy.

     

    eBay Listing Options

    Define listing duration, gallery type, use templates for the listing, select template, product type for export, and add subtitle on eBay product.

     

    Dispatch Options

    The admin could set the configuration for dispatch time for exported products for instance 1 day, 2,  so on.

     

    Payment Options

    The admin could define the PayPal account registered email address, default category, and store currency.

     

    Default Shipping Detail

    The admin will define the shipping details that are- shipping service priority, shipping service, shipping service cost, shipping time, and free shipping.

     

    Package Information

    The information about the packaging is defined in this configuration. The admin will enter the details of the shipping package type, irregular, measurement unit.

     

    Order Sync Option

    The admin will have to set the configurations for the following fields - default store view for order sync, eBay imported order status, default product, select the eBay import order.

     

    Default Website

    Here, the admin will specify the default website in which this functionality is visible.

     

    Default Business Policy

    The admin will define business profile enabled on eBay, eBay marketplace, payment policy, shipping policy, and return policy.

     

    Mapping eBay Categories

    On importing all the categories from the eBay store, the admin needs to map the categories. It is done under the map category option, where the admin can map all the eBay categories to the Magento store categories. As the parent categories cannot get mapped, the admin needs to select the sub-category for mapping, i.e., leaf to leaf mapping. The admin can map only one category at a time. eBay Condition and Specification gets created as product attributes, and eBay variations get created as Super Attributes in store for configurable products.

     

    Import/Export eBay Products

    Under the map product, the admin, can import and export the products. On clicking the "Import Product from eBay" button, the Imported Product is synced and created in Store. The admin also needs to select the eBay listing end dates range for importing products. The admin has the leverage to import only eBay active products from eBay.Here the admin can even assign the categories to the product from 'Assign To Category'.By selecting the products and choosing the appropriate category corresponding to them.

     

    Import eBay Orders

    Initially, the admin must ensure that all products and their categories are synchronized from the eBay store to the Magento store after which the admin can import the orders from eBay. The admin needs to add the date range and the orders, whose status is 'complete,' will be imported from eBay to the Magento store.

     

    Listing Templates

    Under the listing template, the admin can add or create any number of templates. The eBay templates offer a unique feature to export additional product information along with the product which shall display on the eBay store. If need be, the admin can edit or delete the template.

     

    Price Rules

    Under price rules, the admin can create price rules. Also, the admin can edit the previous price rules. The admin shall add the minimum and the maximum price range, the operation type, the action on the price rule, price, and the status of the price rule.

     

    Real-Time Missed Orders

    The orders which couldn't in real-time due to missing addresses are part are present in this section. This will allow keeping a record of such transactions.
