Azure Blob Storage

Azure Blob Storage is a feature of Microsoft’s object storage solution. The Azure Blob storage optimizes for storing large amounts of unstructured data.

It is a useful module that supports media files (like product images, media in the product description, short descriptions, etc.) for all types of products.

With this Extension, the admin can connect Azure Blob Storage with Magento 2 (Adobe Commerce Cloud). You can save your product data and the information on the cloud.

How Does The Extension Work?

Admin End

General Settings-

• The admin will allow files to be saved on Azure Blob Storage. 
• The admin will also enter the account name, account key, and container name, and check the availability of the container. 
• If the container does not exist in Azure Blob Storage then it will automatically be created. 
• Re-synchronize media storage to Azure Blob without uploading media to Azure.

Uploading Downloadable Products

• The admin will select downloadable products from the catalog and add products.
• After uploading the downloadable file and entering all the necessary information for the downloadable product, the admin will click the Save button.
• The file is saved on Azure Blob Storage when the downloadable product is saved(One can save Static files on the Microsoft Azure Blob Storage ie (HTML, CSS, JS), and as a result, the link is generated.

Media Files

• All the data is stored in Azure Blob Storage for all product types, including media files.
• The media files are the images/videos associated with the products. Which shows the product details and gives a better description of the same.

Storefront Working

When the website is opened it will provide a fast and smooth UI as all the data is being fetched from the Azure Blob Storage.

Even if the customer opens any image and views it in the new tab, the source will include the Azure Blob Storage URL.
