Seller Groups Marketplace Add On

Note - This module is an add-on of Webkul's Multi Vendor Marketplace Module. To use this module, you must first purchase and install Webkul Multi Vendor Marketplace extension first.

PayPal is an American company operating an online payments system in the majority of countries that support online money transfers and serves as an electronic alternative to traditional paper methods like checks and money orders. The company operates as a payment processor for online vendors, auction sites, and many other commercial users, for which it charges a fee.

With the help of Seller Groups Marketplace Add-On, the admin will be able to set a restriction on seller product listing and even set a duration for the listing. The admin can create different seller groups and set a limit on the basis of - the number of products, listing duration, or both. From the storefront, a vendor can pay a group fee using available store payment methods. The admin can add one-time membership groups and recurring subscription type groups. One-time membership groups will allow the sellers to pay a complete single fee to access the seller group features. While recurring subscription type will charge on a regular interval. This will save the sellers from the stress of having to manually renew their membership.

Business Value

Using Seller Groups Marketplace Add-On, the store owner will be able to control vendor product listings on the marketplace website. So that vendors can add a limited number of products for a set period of time. Once, the duration ends, the seller will not be able to add the products to the marketplace. For adding new products to the marketplace, the vendors will purchase a seller group and pay a group fee to the admin.

Account & Pricing

An additional account is required to use the PayPal recurring subscription payments feature. 

• The admin needs to configure the “Instant Payment Notification” settings. For this, the admin first needs to have a PayPal account and for setting up IPN notification, check IPN settings. 
• There are no fees for Instant Payment Notification. The admin can use Instant Payment Notification in any country where PayPal is accepted.

• Group Payment will be done using the allowed payment methods set by the admin.

Work Flow

Select Payment Methods

After the module installation, the admin can easily configure the module settings like enabling the module, select payment methods that can be used to buy the membership and configure restriction settings for non-group members.  Then, the admin will set the email templates and configure seller group fee page settings. After this for the recurring payment, the admin will save the PayPal Express Checkout details like client id and client secret key.

Manage Seller Subscriptions

After the configuration, the admin will have a section “Manage Seller Groups” to manage the vendor groups. The admin can delete, edit and add new vendor groups. For creating a new seller group, the admin will enter a group name, group code, select seller group restriction type, define duration, product count, fee amount, upload group image, select allowed marketplace features and seller group subscription type. Note - The admin can create two types of subscriptions for vendor groups - one-time membership and recurring subscriptions. And, can define seller group restriction on - listing duration, product count, or both.

Show Multiple Product Listing Plans

Now on the storefront, the vendors can find the seller group “Pricing” link in the footer section. On the group fee pricing page, the vendor can view the group features and select their membership type. And proceed to pay for the selected membership using store payment methods.

Recurring Subscription Payments Via. PayPal

If the selected group is a recurring subscription type then the seller will make payment using PayPal from the seller account. And if the seller selects the One-time subscription group type, the seller will be able to purchase the subscription just like he would do for any of the web store products he wants to purchase.

Restrict Sellers Product Listings

After the expiration of the group period, an error message will be shown to the vendor while adding a new product. The vendor can also check the subscribed group information from the ‘Manage Seller Membership’ option and recurring subscription information from the “Recurring Profiles” section.
