How does this extension Work?

Store Admin Workflow

Install & Make Initial Configuration Settings

After installing the extension, the Magento 2 store admin will make the initial configuration settings. Here, the admin will first enable the functionality by enabling the feature for the storefront. 

After that, the admin will set the title for the shipping method that is visible to the customers at checkout time. After that, the admin will choose to show the shipping method based on – zip code, weight, or cart value.

Then the admin has to set the option for shipping to applicable countries or all allowed countries as required and select the option to display an error message if the shipping method is applicable or not. Lastly, save the configuration settings. 

Add & Manage Multiple Shipping Methods

After the initial configuration settings, the admin will have to create the shipping methods. For the same, the admin will navigate to the shipping methods listing section. 

Here, the admin will tap on the add shipping button and a section will appear where the admin first needs to download the demo CSV file. After that, the admin will configure the CSV column values and save the CSV file.

The admin within the CSV file will add the –

• Country Code
• Region ID
• Zip Code from and to Values
• Shipping price
• Weight from and to values
• Product price from and to values
• Shipping method name
• Set whether to accept numeric zip codes or not
• Enable the Alphanumeric zip codes if the numeric zip code is set to No

Now, upload the same CSV file and tap the save shipping button to save the custom shipping method that the admin has created using the table rate. 

The admin can also, edit the already created custom shipping methods and can edit their data as required. The admin can also delete the created custom shipping methods as required.

Custom Shipping Method At Checkout

The custom shipping method will be visible to the customers at the checkout if the respective conditions are sufficed for the custom shipping method. The customer can then select the custom shipping method and make a checkout thereafter.
