Akeneo PIM centralizes the management and enrichment of product data. It ensures consistency across channels and improves collaboration among platforms. 

The Akeneo connector helps the store owner to manage the product data by Akeneo PIM. The admin can easily import and export the product data with media files. 

It will also centralize the whole product data for easy management. Before importing the data, the admin needs to map the category first. 

The admin can select various filters. So they can import data from Akeneo to the Magento 2 store. It will help them to identify the product data on Akeneo.

How Does The Extension Work?

Initial Configuration 

The admin needs to create an account on Akeneo and generate the API credentials. Once the module gets installed, they can add the credentials in the configuration section. 

 

Map Website

The admin will map the Magento website with a specific Akeneo channel to connect the platform.

 

Additional Attributes 

Map the attribute between Akeneo and Magento 2 store. The admin can add specific Akeneo attribute types with the Magento input field.

 

Category Import and Export Settings 

Admin has to add the import and export settings for Akeneo to Magento 2. So, the admin can import categories from one to another platform. 

 

Product Import Configuration 

The admin will do the product import configuration to import the various details. It includes product type, product image, quantity, media files, and more.

 

Perform Import Job 

Now run the import job to import the data from the Akeneo catalog to the Magento 2 store. 

 

Check Data on Akeneo 

Once all the data, like products, categories, attributes, etc, are imported to the Akeneo. The admin can check the akeneo platform for the same. Now, they can use the Akeneo PIM for product management.
