Fixer.IO Geolocation Currency Converter allows your online store to display prices in multiple currencies. The extension automatically detects the geolocation of the customer and displays the country-specific currency. It converts the price of the products in the run-time at your online store to the geographical location where the customer is located.
For example, now that you have products priced according to the US dollar, and your online store is accessed from UK, London, the price of the product will be converted automatically to GBP (Sterling Pound). This extension will allow customers to see the prices of products in their local currencies. And also help expand your business to other countries and invite foreign customers as well. Converted prices will be displayed on the storefront at various pages such as- category page, product page, wishlist page, compare page, checkout order summary page, and search page.

How Does The Extension Work?
Fixer API
After installation, the administrator can configure the module and enable/disable the module and enter the Fixer API key (to get live exchange rates). The API key is received after you log in to Fixer.
Import Forex Rate Automatically/Manually
The administrator can also import the country's currency rates either manually or automatically. To import currency rates manually, the store admin will click the Import Rate button available under the configuration settings of the module.
Setup Cron To Fetch Rates
And to import the currency rate automatically, the admin will set up a cron to update the currency rate automatically. The admin needs to run a cron command to automatically import currency rates. The cron command will schedule the default cron to update the rate of the currency every one hour. Cron is set to run every hour by default.
Detect Customer’s Location Automatically
Now, whenever a user accesses your website, this module will detect the location of the visitor. The country-specific currency for the products is shown accordingly.
Display Converted Prices At Multiple Pages
Customers can view the converted prices on the frontend pages such as -category page, product page, wishlist page, compare page, checkout order summary page, and search page.
