Features List
- The admin can easily replace the MySQL search engine with the elastic search engine.
- The admin can easily update products, categories, and CMS pages data to the elastic server.
- The data is stored on the elastic server according to the Index Type.
- The admin can also use command-line tools to update website data to the elastic server.
- The admin can set Multi-Match Query or Simple Match Query as the search type for the Frontend.
- If a Multi-Match Query has been selected as the search type then the Customer can search data by name, SKU, description, and a short description of the Product.
- If a Simple Match Query has been selected then the Customer can only find the Products by its name or SKU.
- It also has the Spell Correction Feature according to which the search engine automatically corrects the keywords even if they are typed incorrectly.
- “Did you Mean” feature allows the customers to search for the products if they mistakenly entered the wrong product name. So, this feature will suggest to them all the products which have nearby and the same product name.
- The admin can select character filters to replace or remove unwanted characters from the search input.
- The admin can also Select Language Stemmer store wise according to the store language.
How Does The Extension Works?
For the working of this module, it is a must for the store owner, Elastic Search Engine v7.6 must be installed and running. Once the module is installed, the admin can manage and configure the module from the admin panel easily.
Managing Elasticsearch Functionality
The admin can navigate to the Elastic Search Setting and fill the required details for the working of the module. The admin can fill the required details like Host details, Port Number, Index Prefix, etc. Furthermore, the admin can check the connection status, and reset the connection as well.
Manage Search Settings
The admin has the option to choose from “Multi Match Query,” and “Simple Match Query” as a search type for the front-end. When selecting a search setting as “Multi Match Query” the customer can search the product by the attributes that are created by the admin. The attribute type must be text to perform the search query. Furthermore, if the selected search setting is “Simple Match Query” then, the Customer can search the product only by its name and SKU.
Select Search Filter
The admin can modify the search term provided by a customer using the token filter. There are four types of search filters available that the admin can use - Synonym Filter, Elision Filter, Lowercase Filter, and Stop Word Filter.
Select Language Stemmer
The admin needs to select the correct Language Stemmer according to the Magento 2 store language. In this way, the customer will be able to search only in the English language.
Select Character Search Filter
The admin can use the character search filters that are used to remove the unwanted characters from the search input by a customer. Theses filters are of three types - HTML Strip Char Filter, Mapping Filter, and Pattern Replace Filter.
Index Management
The admin can use the index management to update the status of the index. The index needs to be updated whenever a new product is added to the store. Moreover, the admin can also use the command lines to update a large number of data.
Enhanced Search
This module facilitates a lot of search features for the customers. With the help of this module, the customer can easily search for a product with enhanced and advanced search options.
Search Suggestion
This module helps the customers to search most effortlessly. The customer can just enter a keyword and it will display the suggestions accordingly. Search suggestions can help the customers to look for the products based on the suggested products using the elastic search.
Did You Mean
The module also has a feature called "Did you mean" which allows customers to search for products if they have entered the wrong product name. So, this feature will indicate all products with the same product name in the vicinity.
The admin can also set the spell correction by which the Elastic Search Engine automatically corrects keywords even if they are typed incorrectly by the Customer. The admin may choose token filters to modify the search term provided by the Customer.
