Note: Barcode Inventory is an add-on for Webkul's Purchase Management Module. To use this module, you must first have purchased and installed the Purchase Management Module. A Barcode Scanner Device is also required to read the barcodes.

Barcode Inventory module allows the admin to generate barcodes for the incoming shipment products. It also allows updating the stock automatically through barcode scanning after receiving the shipment from the respective supplier. Using this module admin can generate the barcode PDF of single as well as multiple shipments to make the inventory management process accurate and easy. This add-on helps the admin to systematize the shipments and inventory management using barcodes and barcode scanning.

 

Use Case

Barcode Inventory module enables the admin to generate barcodes for the incoming shipment products.  It tracks shipment and inventory to update all automatically through scanning. Hence, this makes the inventory management process more advanced, accurate and time-saving. Suppliers are provided with the barcodes from admin to attach to the shipment products before shipping. These barcodes help the supplier to ship and identify the products easily.

Customers will be getting fast stock availability notifications and fast product delivery because the admin and suppliers are there to manage shipment and inventory through barcodes and scanning.

How Does The Extension Work?

Module Configuration

Successful installation of the Barcode Inventory module allows admin to Enable Barcode Scanner also enables to Open Popup To Update Inventory to scan and update the inventory once the admin has received the incoming shipments.

 

Generate Barcodes For Incoming Shipments

Incoming shipment gets created after sending the purchase order to the supplier and admin gets the barcodes for the incoming shipment products automatically.

 

Manually Update Inventory

Once the shipments from the supplier have been received admin can update the inventory of shipment products. The admin can manually update the inventory of the shipment products individually and the admin can even bulk update the inventory of the shipment products. 

 

Update Inventory By Barcode Scan

The Admin can update the inventory of the shipment products automatically through barcode scanning. The cursor should be in the code field while scanning for the successful scanning of the barcode.

 

Generate Barcode PDF

The admin can generate the barcode PDF of a single shipment and also can generate the barcode PDF of multiple shipments in bulk.
