Back to topThe Import Export Category Extension for Magento 2 by VDCstore enables merchants to easily import and export product categories using CSV files, making category management faster, more accurate, and scalable. This Magento extension is ideal for stores with large catalogs, frequent category updates, multi-store setups, or merchants migrating data between environments.
With this extension, store owners can export existing categories—including hierarchy, attributes, and metadata—into a CSV file for offline editing or backup. Categories can then be imported back into Magento in bulk, allowing merchants to create, update, or restructure category trees without manual admin work. For example, a growing ecommerce store can quickly add hundreds of categories, update SEO fields, or reorganize catalog structures across multiple stores in minutes instead of hours. The extension ensures a smooth and controlled import process while maintaining Magento’s native category system integrity.
