Reorder Checkout Fields is an intuitive extension that gives store administrators complete control over the order in which billing and shipping address fields appear on the checkout page. Merchants can tailor the checkout layout to match regional conventions, improve user experience, and streamline the purchase flow — all without code changes or theme modifications. For example, if the First Name field has a sort order of 10, Last Name is 20, and Zip Code is 70, simply changing Zip Code to 30 will make it appear directly after Last Name. This is particularly useful for stores serving international customers where address field conventions differ by region.

How It Works

Once installed and activated, store admins can assign numeric sort values to each billing and shipping address field. Lower values appear first on the checkout page, while higher values appear later. Fields without a custom order fall back to the default Magento order. The extension uses Magento's native LayoutProcessor to dynamically update the checkout form at runtime.

Configuration

Navigate to Stores → Configuration → 2PY Enterprises Extensions → Reorder Checkout Fields in the Admin panel. Set the sort order for each field under the Billing Address Field Order and Shipping Address Field Order sections, then save the configuration.
