Overview

Stripe is first and foremost a technology company with a mission to increase the GDP of the internet. It offers a payment gateway, which was specifically designed to facilitate recurring billing. The core offering includes extra features, such as a set of open APIs and metered recurring billing to help you automate payment operations.

The Stripe integration from PowerSync is a fully PCI compliant solution, which allows merchants to accept payments in Magento through the use of their platform. Securely accept payments using the Stripe.js tokenization, credit cards are never entered or stored in Magento. The merchant is able to connect the Magento platform to a Test or Live Authorize.Net transaction gateway. When enabled and configured, your customers will be able to use all credit cards supported by the payment gateway. Your customers will also have an option to securely "save" their payment in the Authorize.Net payment gateway for faster checkout in the future. The PowerSync extension supports 3D Secure transaction validation if the customer's bank requires advanced level validation.

Account & Pricing

If you do not have Stripe Account you will need to set one up prior to using this extension.  Additional fees apply! The pricing associated with this service can be viewed here.

Security

Module utilizes Stripe Elements to provide a PCI-compliant checkout experience that works across browsers and devices. Stripe Elements is a set of embedded, Stripe-hosted UI components for building checkout flow, which tokenize sensitive payment details within an Element without ever having them touch merchant's server. All card details are securely stored on Stripe’s PCI-DSS verified servers, card details are NOT being entered or stored on the merchant's server. This is possible, because Stripe Elements host all form inputs containing card data within an iframe served from Stripe’s domain — not merchant's — so customers’ card information never touches merchant's servers. Therefore, SAQ level for this integration is SAQ-A.
