    China UnionPay is the sole bankcard association in China. With over 7.5 billion UnionPay cards issued globally, UnionPay is the world's largest card network. It is widely used by Chinese shoppers internationally as well as domestically. UnionPay cards are accepted in 174 countries and regions and by 52 million merchants worldwide. As part of their online payment processing, UnionPay offers an e-commerce solution, UnionPay Online Payments), which allows for cards to be accepted over the Internet with real-time transaction authorization. 

    This extension integrates the official UnionPay Cross-border API into Magento2. It's designed for global merchants to receive payments through UnionPay cards outside China. After selecting Unionpay as a payment method on the checkout page, customers get redirected to UnionPay's official site to enter their UnionPay bank card numbers and passwords to complete the payment. After receiving the payment, UnionPay sends a notification to the Magento store. Then, the order status will be auto-updated on the backend.

    It's free to register a UnionPay Merchant Account on UnionPay's International Platform and request the SecurePay API.  

     

    Security

    The extension integrates the official UnionPay SecurePay API that is more secure without transmitting by any 3rd-party agency. After selecting UnionPay on the checkout page, customers get redirected to UnionPay's official site to enter their bank accounts and passwords. Customers' bank accounts and passwords will not get stored on the Magento server. Integration meets PCI- SAQ A-EP compliance.
