Overview

Advance Fee on Checkout extension charges an additional fee on orders to increase revenue and profitability. This additional fee can be used to cover the costs associated with processing, shipping, and handling the order, as well as any other costs related to fulfilling the order. Applying extra charges in order total and making product pricey to buy for customers is the right way of selling. Rather adding those extra services to show in transparent way to extend the store functionality and motivate customers to spend more is the better option.
This Extension allows adding extra fees like gift wrap, rush order, packing charges etc. on store orders in a transparent way. Customers than can choose to buy these additional services at extra cost and increase average order value.

Characteristics of the extension

Create Fee rules by various system configuration options.
Custom fee label to show in frontend, backend, Emails, Invoice and Credit Memo sections .
Set minimum order amount to display extra fee on frontend.
Extra Fee is displayed dynamically in cart and checkout page in frontend.
Extra Fee details are auto added to the Magento order view page, Print Order page, credit memo, invoices, customer sales emails and pdfs generated by Magento.
Option to display custom fee title to show on the frontend and other related sections.
The extra fees applied is displayed on the checkout page and the fee amount is shown along with the set title and description.
Set Minimum and Maximum fee charge cap.
The customers can check the extra fees applied in "My Account" under the order view section in the frontend.
The extra fee details are displayed in the order email sent to the customers.
The Admin can check the extra fees from the backend under the order view section.
