Security
Security is at the core of Sokin Pay's functionality. We utilise advanced encryption and security protocols to protect sensitive payment information.
- PCI Compliance: Sokin Pay is fully PCI DSS compliant, adhering to the highest security standards in the payment industry. Our integration method qualifies for compliance level 1, significantly reducing the PCI compliance burden on merchants.
- Integration Method: Sokin Pay uses a Hosted Payment Page (HPP) integration method. During checkout, customers are securely redirected to Sokin Pay's PCI-compliant payment page to enter their payment details. After the transaction is completed, customers are redirected back to your store. This method ensures that sensitive cardholder data does not pass through or reside on your Magento server.
- Data Handling:
- Customer Data Entry: Customers enter their payment data directly on the secure Sokin Pay payment page, not on your Magento site.
- Data Storage: No sensitive payment data is stored on your Magento server. Only non-sensitive transaction data, such as order confirmation and payment status, are communicated back to your store.
- Customer Data on Magento Server: By not handling or storing sensitive payment information on your server, you minimise security risks and simplify compliance requirements.
- 3D Secure Authentication: The built-in 3D Secure (3DS) protocol adds an extra layer of security by requiring customers to complete an additional verification step with the card issuer, further reducing fraud and chargebacks.
- Encryption and Tokenisation: All communication between your store, customers, and Sokin Pay is encrypted using industry-standard SSL/TLS protocols. Payment details are tokenised, ensuring that sensitive information is protected during transmission and storage.
By choosing Sokin Pay, you can offer your customers a secure, convenient, and diverse set of payment options while maintaining the highest standards of payment security and compliance. Our hosted payment solution offloads the handling of sensitive payment data to Sokin, allowing you to focus on growing your business with peace of mind.
