Product Revisions

Product Revisions extension gives your catalog a complete, searchable change history — and a way back. This extension for Magento 2 records every product attribute change as a numbered revision: what changed, the value before and after, who made the change, which store view it was made in, where it came from, and when. Changes are captured no matter how they happen — an admin editing a product, a REST, SOAP or GraphQL API call, a mass attribute update from the product grid, or a catalog import. When something goes wrong — a mistaken bulk edit, an import that overwrote good descriptions, an unexplained price change — you open the revision, see exactly what happened, and press Restore to put the previous values back, in the same store scope the change was made in.

After installation, a new Revisions grid appears under Catalog in the Admin, and every product edit page gains a Revisions button that opens the product's own history. The revision detail page shows a Before/After comparison that highlights the exact words that changed inside each value, so even a one-sentence edit in a long description is spotted at a glance. Recording is fully non-blocking: if a revision cannot be written for any reason, the product save, import or API call completes normally and the problem is only logged.

• Configurable tracking: exclude any attributes you do not want recorded, with technical and media attributes excluded out of the box
• Automatic retention cleanup: an optional weekly job permanently deletes revisions older than a configurable number of days
