The extension fetches current exchange rates and lets you convert between any currencies enabled on your store with a single click from the standard Magento currency rates screen — no extra configuration screens to learn.
Updates can run two ways:
- Scheduled (cron) — enable automatic updates in the module configuration and rates refresh on your chosen schedule, without any manual intervention.
- On demand (CLI) — run php bin/magento sanjay:currency:update-rates from the command line any time you want to force an immediate refresh, independent of the schedule. This is useful for testing, for stores that prefer to trigger updates from their own external scheduler, or for a quick manual sync right after installation.
Both methods use the same reliable update process and write directly into Magento's standard currency rates table, so the rest of your store — pricing, currency switcher, reports — works exactly as it always has.
