Overview

PPL Action Widget turns Magento store signals into a practical action board for merchants, ecommerce managers, and agencies. It helps teams see what needs attention next, from search gaps and product issues to coupon costs, payment patterns, stock risks, and sales signals that are easy to miss in raw reports.

Instead of asking administrators to open several reports and interpret every table manually, the extension creates focused action cards and configurable report widgets inside Magento. The result is a faster operational review workflow without the overhead of a separate business intelligence setup.

Why it is useful

Many ecommerce issues are visible in data before they become obvious in daily work. A product may receive attention but fail to sell. A coupon may become expensive. A payment method may show a cancellation pattern. Search terms may reveal demand for products or synonyms that are missing.

PPL Action Widget brings these signals into one admin area and presents them as concrete tasks with context. This makes it a useful upgrade for stores that want regular, repeatable checks and a clearer path from data to action.

Admin experience

The action cards are available from the PPL Hub admin area. Administrators can review the current snapshot, rebuild it when needed, export card data, and dismiss items that have already been reviewed.

Compatibility

PPL Action Widget is designed for Magento Open Source 2.4 and Adobe Commerce 2.4. It uses PPL Hub and PPL Report Core as shared foundations. It is compatible with PPL Reports modules that expose report widget data and can place those report widgets on the Action Widget board.

Features

  • Creates admin action cards under PPL Hub.
  • Displays compatible PPL Reports as configurable report widgets on the Action Widget board.
  • Builds snapshots by cron so the admin page does not rely on heavy live queries.
  • Highlights issues such as zero-result searches, products viewed but not bought, add-to-cart activity without purchase, stock risk, missing product content, expensive coupons, payment cancellation patterns, SKU performance drops, and customer activity signals.
  • Can show severity, score, impact, evidence, recommendation, and a call to action for each card.
  • Supports per-admin dismiss behavior and CSV export.
  • Adds backend configuration for thresholds and enablement.
