Back to topOverview
Back to topEvery "Out of Stock" label on a high-intent product page is a sale walking out the door , and a signal you're not capturing. Restock Demand Alerts turns that moment into two things at once: a recovered sale, and a restocking decision backed by real demand data.
When a product is out of stock, shoppers see a clean "Notify me when back in stock" form right in the product information area. They enter their email, and the moment your inventory shows the item as salable again, an automatic, on-brand email invites them back to buy, while their intent is still hot.
But Restock Demand Alerts goes a step further than a typical notify-me tool. Every subscription feeds a Restock Demand Alerts grid in your admin (Catalog > Restock Demand Alerts) that ranks your out-of-stock products by demand score, the number of shoppers actively waiting for each SKU. Instead of guessing what to reorder, you open one grid and see, highest-demand first, exactly which restocks will recover the most waiting customers.
Back-in-stock messages are one of the highest-converting email types in ecommerce because they reach shoppers who have already chosen the exact product they want. Industry analysis of 2025 ecommerce email data found back-in-stock emails delivered the highest conversion rate (about 6.72%) and the highest revenue per email (about $9.14) of all automated flows, yet only around 0.6% of brands had the automation running, a wide, low-effort opportunity gap.* Restock Demand Alerts is a focused, well-engineered way to close it.
Features:
- Storefront "Notify me when back in stock" form on any out-of-stock product page, shown automatically only when the item is unavailable.
- Automatic back-in-stock emails, sent on an hourly schedule as soon as the product becomes salable again, using an on-brand, responsive email template with the product image and a "Shop now" button.
- Restock Demand Alerts grid in the admin that lists out-of-stock products with active subscribers, ranked by demand score (active subscriber count), so you can prioritize reorders by real demand.
- Full grid tooling: column filters, sortable columns, a column selector, paging and a built-in Export button to pull the demand list to CSV/XML for planning.
- Merchant-controlled messaging: customize the form title, button label, email-field placeholder and success message without touching code.
- On-brand styling controls: set the button background colour, text colour and corner radius so the widget matches your theme; the same styling flows into the notification email.
- Store-view scoped configuration, so multi-store and multi-language catalogues can tailor copy and styling per storefront.
- Sender identity control for the notification email, using your existing Magento store email identities.
Why it's Different:
Most back-in-stock extensions stop at collecting emails and sending them. Restock Demand Alerts treats those subscriptions as a merchandising signal: the demand-score grid tells you not just *who* to email, but *which products to bring back first*. It's a recovery tool and a restocking-priority report in one focused module.
