NMI Payment Gateway (3D Secure) - Magento 2 extension allows you to take credit card payments through NMI Payment Gateway directly on your Magento 2 website. This extension does not store any card details on the shop.

 Network Merchants, LLC (NMI) payment gateway has the tools and services for merchants to accept almost any kind of payment online.

How does the extension work

From Backend: The admin enables the extension, sets a custom title for the payment method, puts Secret Key, selects Gateway URL, selects payment action, selects allowed credit card types, selects allowed countries and saves the configuration.

From Frontend: customers can then select the NMI Payment method at the checkout page, enter the card/debit card details and place the order.

Expiration Date: Any future date (e.g. 12/30)

Test Rules:

Amount < $1.00 → triggers declined transaction
CVV = 999 → simulates CVV mismatch/validation scenario

3D Secure Challenge Flow Test Cards

Use these cards to trigger 3D Secure authentication challenge:

Visa: 4100 0000 0000 5000
Mastercard: 5100 0000 0000 5007
American Express: 3400 0000 0005 008
Discover: 6440 0000 0000 5004

These cards will force a 3DS challenge step requiring user interaction.

3DS Test Authentication Notes

OTP (One-Time Password) for testing: 12345
Expiry date can be any valid future date
All challenge flows are simulated in sandbox mode

Security & PCI Compliance

 When customers pay via NMI Payments using Hosted Fields, all card details are entered directly on NMI’s secure servers. Magento never stores or processes sensitive payment information, ensuring maximum security.

Merchants integrating via NMI Payment API or Hosted Fields can maintain PCI DSS compliance at the SAQ A-EP level, reducing the scope of sensitive data handling on their servers.
