  This module is implemented to integrate Datatrans Payment methods for Magento. It supports the following Datatrans payment methods to work with the default checkout for Magento. The supported payment methods are

Security

The Datatrans Payment Extension for Magento is built with industry-leading security in mind, ensuring that all payment-related data is handled securely and that your Magento store is not exposed to sensitive cardholder information. By outsourcing card data processing to Datatrans, the integration aligns with the global standard PCI DSS and makes your store eligible for the simplified self-assessment for merchants known as SAQ A 

This extension is fully PCI DSS compliant and supports 3-D Secure authentication, ensuring that all transactions are processed with the highest level of data security and fraud protection. All card interactions—display, entry, and processing—remain PCI-DSS compliant. Sensitive information such as card numbers or CVV is never stored or handled by Magento. All secure card data exchange is managed exclusively by Datatrans using tokenized aliases, ensuring full compliance at every step.   

Integration Method

This extension uses a secure API-based integration with Datatrans’ hosted payment omponents. All sensitive payment data (such as card numbers and CVV codes) is captured and processed directly by Datatrans through secure, PCI-certified systems.

Payment Data Entry

Customers enter their payment details exclusively within Datatrans’ secure payment environment, either embedded directly into the Magento checkout or via an external Datatrans-hosted payment URL.

At no stage does the Magento server receive, process, or store raw cardholder data, ensuring full compliance with PCI DSS requirements.

Datatrans supports two payment integration options:

• Redirect      – Customers are redirected to a secure, Datatrans-hosted payment page to complete the transaction.
• Lightbox      – The secure payment form is displayed within the Magento checkout using an embedded Datatrans interface, without leaving the store.

Card Data Handling

• Customer  payment data is not entered into the Magento server
• Customer payment data is never stored on the Magento server
• Magento only receives tokenized aliases and transaction references from Datatrans

PCI DSS Compliance

Datatrans is a fully PCI DSS Level 1 certified payment service provider. By outsourcing all card data handling to Datatrans, merchants using this extension qualify for the simplified PCI DSS Self-Assessment Questionnaire SAQ A.
