How Opyn Pay Later’s plug-in works
- A buyer visits the e-commerce site and adds items to the cart.
- At checkout, the buyer will see the “Opyn Pay Later” button among the available payment methods.
- Once the button has been clicked, the buyer will have to authenticate himself
- Opyn Pay Later conducts credit eligibility and fraud risk checks and shows the payment terms for which the buyer has been approved.
- The buyer selects the preferred payment options and confirms his order.
- The merchant receives the payment according to the created payment plan.
Security and Compliance
For payment management, Opyn Pay Later relies on Stripe which meets the PSD2 requirements of Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) in Europe using technology that scans each transaction to activate Dynamic 3D Secure only when required.
Opyn Pay Later does not require any payment data entry within its platform as Stripe manages the transaction. Opyn Pay Later, in fact, uses the Stripe checkout form to enter payment data.
The customer enters all sensitive payment data into a payment page created directly by Stripe's PCI DSS verified servers.
Stripe qualifies for the simplest method of PCI validation with a pre-populated SAQ A. Stripe tokenizes sensitive payment information to ensure card details are never shared with Magento. All card details are securely stored on Stripe's PCI-DSS Level 1 verified servers.
