Swiss QR Invoice Extension sqrip

At the end of September 2022, the traditional inpayment slips (ISR) for bank transfers in Switzerland have disappeared. The replacement is the “QR bill” (https://www.einfach-zahlen.ch/), which was introduced in July 2020.

In order to offer this cost-effective payment option with all its advantages in the future, we have developed sqrip. sqrip for Magento consists of a universal API (http://api.sqrip.ch/) and a Magento plugin, which connects seamlessly with Magento and comes up with various options.

Account & Pricing

To work with sqrip you will be asked to create a separate sqrip account. This account is created independently of setting up the plugin, it can be created at any time before, during or after the installation process. In order to use the plugin to generate invoices, you will be asked to fill up your credits balance, with one credit spent per invoice generated. On sign-up you will be granted 20 free credits to test the system.

Security & PCI compliance

The extension enables IBAN-based payments by generating QR codes built on the specifications for the Swiss QR-bill, which users can use to complete payments.
The extension does not require users to input any Payment Card details or information.

Method: When the extension is used to process a payment, an API call is made with the payment details (amount, items) to our server which generates the QR-bill and sends it to the customer. No card details are collected. Due to that the PCI SAQ methodology is not applicable to the plugin.

The customer does not enter their payment information at any point.
The customer payment card data is not entered or stored on the Magento server.
