Shipping rules strategy must be designed in such a way that the calculations don't lead to cart abandonment or excess payment. The low acceptance rate for high shipping costs is known. Features
- Shipping Price Rules extensions allow creating an unlimited number of shipping rules.
- Set order for rules to prioritize and apply the rule if a product fits multiple shipping rules. Add 0 for the highest priority. The higher the priority, the earlier the rule will be applicable.
- Select one of the three calculation methods in the Shipping Rules extension:
- Replace - Changes the original shipping rates with the calculated shipping amount.
- Surcharge - Add the calculated shipping amount into the original shipping rates.
- Discount - Deducts the calculated shipping amount from the original shipping rates.
- Enter fixed and percentage rate amount to charge per product.
- Set handling shipping rate in percentage to charge order with shipping price rules extension
- Specify shipping address conditions and cart attributes to apply shipping rules on orders.

Description:
Create rules based on product attributes, cart attributes, and shipping address conditions.
Note: Make sure for configurable products their child product have a weight. if you don't add weight it will be automatically converted into virtual product. Virtual products are much like simple products, but without the Weight option. On top of this, virtual products can't be downloaded or shipped.
