SmartCart Cart Cross-Sell Recommendations

SmartCart is a contextual product recommendation extension for Magento 2 that helps you increase average order value by presenting relevant add-ons while customers review their cart. It evaluates cart products against rules you control, filters unsuitable candidates, and displays eligible suggestions on the cart page, in the mini-cart, or during checkout. You can configure triggers based on SKUs, categories, and attributes; select product pools; customize headings and helper text; limit customer groups or cart values; exclude products and categories; and decide where each offer appears.

Customers see concise, responsive recommendation tiles with add-to-cart and dismiss controls, optional ratings and review snippets. Suggestions run locally without an AI call in the storefront request, while stock, cart contents, exclusions, and product eligibility are checked before display. SmartCart includes storefront implementations for Luma and Hyvä themes and is designed to work with other compatible Magento themes.

• Flexible product pools: Recommend chosen products, or draw candidates from a category or an attribute, topped up from your existing related and cross-sell products.
• Storefront guardrails: Exclude out-of-stock, unsupported, already-in-cart, gift card, blocked SKU, and blocked category candidates before they reach customers.
• Eligibility controls: Restrict recommendations by customer group, minimum cart subtotal, coupon state, placement, and offer intent.
• Custom presentation: Configure recommendation headings, helper text, button labels, star ratings, and review snippets.
• Dismissal memory: Remember dismissed offers for a configurable period so the same suggestion is not repeatedly shown.
• Event and revenue tracking: Record impressions, clicks, dismissals, successful additions, and attributed purchases for recommendation analysis. Seed keeps event logs for 7 days and statistics for 30 days.
• A/B experiments: Test a placement switched on against off, or default suggestions on against off, and review the result. Tests of bundles, AI copy and free-shipping tools require Pro.
• Admin rule management: Create, prioritize, preview, enable, disable, filter, and review recommendation rules from Magento Admin.
• Hyvä and Luma storefronts: Includes its own Hyvä and Luma templates, so no Hyvä add-on is needed. Also styled for Porto.

SmartCart Seed includes rule-based recommendations, storefront placements, eligibility controls, presentation options, and event tracking, limited to three active rules and one offer per placement. History-based intelligence and association mining require Growth or Pro. AI automation, Smart Bundles, grouped suggestions, and free-shipping tools require Pro. A valid Moogento license is required.

The following capabilities require another plan and are not included in this Seed listing:

• Purchase-history recommendations: Use a signed-in shopper’s order history to inform offers. Requires Growth or Pro.
• Association-based recommendations: Build product suggestions from recorded purchase associations. Requires Growth or Pro.
• Variant matching: Resolve configurable suggestions to a matching child SKU. Requires Growth or Pro.
• Compatibility rules: Only suggest products whose attributes match the cart, and keep chosen category groups from being mixed. Requires Growth or Pro.
• Multi-store overrides: Tailor recommendation settings by store view. Requires Growth or Pro.
• Empty Cart Experience: Show product discovery suggestions when the cart is empty. Requires Growth or Pro.
• More rules and offers: Growth allows 10 active rules. Pro allows unlimited rules and up to five offers per placement.
• Grouped and tabbed suggestions: Show several suggestions under grouped headings or tabs. Needs more than one offer per placement, so requires Pro.
• AI-assisted rules and tagging: Review AI-generated product tags and recommendation rules. Requires Pro.
• Smart Bundles: Present supported grouped offers in the cart workflow. Requires Pro.
• Everyday Essentials: A row of affordable add-ons drawn from what shoppers buy together. Requires Pro.
• Complete With drawer: Grouped suggestions opened from a cart row. Requires Pro.
• Free-shipping progress bar: Show shoppers how far they are from free shipping and suggest a product that closes the gap. Requires Pro.
