miniOrange Personal Data Protection for Magento enables store owners, merchants, and compliance teams to manage customer privacy, consent, and personal data handling across their Magento store with full GDPR and CCPA support.

This extension is designed for businesses that collect customer data and want to stay compliant with global privacy regulations without adding manual overhead. Instead of relying on disconnected tools or custom development, the extension centralizes privacy policy display, consent logging, customer data controls, and automated data cleanup directly inside the Magento admin.

When a visitor lands on your store, the extension can display a privacy policy popup on first visit and record their consent response. Each consent entry is stored in a searchable Consent Logs grid showing the record ID, customer or guest identity, email, IP address, country, acceptance status, and timestamp, giving you a transparent, auditable record of how and when users agreed to your data practices. For stores operating across regions, popup display can be restricted to specific allowed countries.

From the Customer Account Privacy section, you can add a dedicated Privacy Settings tab to the customer account area with a custom tab name. You control which policy links appear, including your Privacy Policy URL and a Cookie Policy link, and can optionally display your Data Protection Officer contact details (name, email, and phone) directly on the customer's privacy page for added transparency.

The extension also gives customers meaningful control over their own information through self-service data controls. Shoppers can download a copy of their personal data, anonymize it, delete their account, or withdraw previously given consent, supporting the data-ownership rights required under GDPR and CCPA. Incoming account deletion requests are surfaced in a dedicated Delete Requests area so administrators can review and manage them in one place.

To keep records clean and compliant, the extension supports automated data management. You can auto-clean old consent logs on a defined schedule, automatically erase abandoned customer accounts that have placed no orders after a set inactivity period, remove stale quote and cart data older than a configured period, and anonymize or delete orders based on their status through a weekly cron run. Together these rules reduce manual effort and storage clutter while protecting active and recent business records.
