miniOrange MCP Server for Magento 2 connects your Adobe Commerce or Magento 2 store directly to any MCP-compatible AI assistant  including Claude Desktop, Cursor, ChatGPT, and Gemini using the official Model Context Protocol (MCP) standard. This extension is designed for store owners, developers, and operations teams who want to query, analyze, and manage live store data using plain English, without writing a single line of code or building custom webhooks.

Instead of toggling between admin grids, running database exports, or waiting on developer support for routine data lookups, the miniOrange MCP Server brings your live Magento data directly into your AI agent's dashboard. Store managers and developers stay entirely within their AI client Claude Desktop, Cursor, ChatGPT, or any MCP-compatible tool and query Magento from there. Simply type in natural language "Show me all orders placed in the last 7 days with a pending status," or "Search for products named shirt with stock below 10" and get precise, real-time answers pulled directly from your live store, without ever opening the Magento admin panel.

Once installed and configured, the extension injects a structured, authenticated set of 59 purpose-built tools directly into your AI interface. These tools span two namespaces: 42 Admin Tools and 17 Storefront Tools. Admin tools give AI agents structured, real-time access to query and manage your store's orders, products, customers, inventory levels, invoices, shipments, CMS pages and blocks, promotions, customer reviews, and store analytics. Storefront tools allow AI agents to browse your catalog exactly as a customer would, navigating categories, resolving URLs, managing guest carts, and simulating complete checkout flows making them ideal for QA testing, conversion auditing, and customer experience analysis.

Security is built into the integration at every level. Access is authenticated through your Magento Integration credentials, meaning each AI session is scoped to the permissions of the integration token you provide. No data is routed through third-party servers. The AI assistant communicates directly with your Magento store via the MCP endpoint, keeping all store data within your own infrastructure.
