Back to topCharge customers with additional fees like gift wrap fee, rush delivery, insurance, signature fee, handling fee, and other custom extra fees with the Extra Fee Extension in Magento 2. Single and multiple Extra Fees can be charged at a time that means the user is able to charge Extra Fees as one only on product or more than one fee can be charged on a product. Admin has the option to make the Extra Fee mandatory for the customer to pay. If disabled, customer can choose if they want the extra benefits which come with the Extra Fees.
The user has two ways to choose the Extra Fee option on his or her product order. The Extra Fee can be charged in percentage or as a fixed amount over the order total. Charged extra fees reflect with their respective labels like Gift wrap fee, Insurance fee, etc. After purchasing Extra Fee Extension, there will be some changes on some of your site pages. Extra Fee option enables the user to select as per his or her convenience and some of the pages just display the presence of Extra Fee.
Features:
- Extra Fee is applied to the order value.
- Store owners can charge fees for various additional costs such as Insurance, Handling, Customization, Express Delivery, etc from their customers.
- Extra Fee can be charged in two ways:
- Percentage value of the order amount (i.e. 2% of the order value) 2) Fixed amount (i.e. 10 USD on top of order value)
- Each Extra Fee will appear with their respective label as set by the Admin.
- Admin can offer mandatory as well as optional both options for fees.
Extra Fee Will Appear On:
- Cart Page: On the cart page, Extra Fee option displays and the user enables to select an option.
- Checkout Page: While Checking out of the page, the user is able to see the option.
- My Account Order Section: In this section, Extra Fee option is displayed to the customer.
Sales:
- Back-End Order Information: This page is helpful to the admin for finding out the Extra Fee option is configured or not.
- Invoice: Extra Fee option is selected then displays on this page.
- Credit Memo: Extra Fee option is selected then displays on this page.
How Admin Can Configure Back-End?
- After installing this extension in your store, you need to enable it from the back-end configuration.
- After that, go to the admin menu, select "Milople Extensions" and click "Extra Fee".
- Then he or she has to click on the 'Add Fee' button.
- 'Add Fee' button enables admin to give details for Extra Fee.
- Admin has to fill the form for Fee details like Fee Name, its type, and Fee Value, and admin has to enable the option by choosing 'Yes' else Extra Fee can not be displayed to the user.
- If admin wants to keep this option compulsory then the mandatory option has to push to 'Yes'.
- In the end, the admin has to save this added fee by clicking on the 'Save' button.
