The visitor may not come back looking for the product again to your store. Instead, the store owner can send an alert notification to them regarding the back-in-stock products. To automate this process, Meetanshi brings Out of Stock Notifications for Magento 2. Moreover, it also allows the store owners to check the customers' list who want to get notified about stock alerts and thus get to know about the store's loyal customers. This data can be useful for marketing purposes as well!

Out of Stock Notifications for Magento 2 allows the customers to subscribe to products that are not available and get notified when they are back in stock. The store owners can study the demand for the type of products from the subscriptions list and accordingly stock the store. It will benefit the sale.

PLEASE NOTE: Right now, Out of Stock Notifications for Magento 2 extension is only compatible with Msg91, Twilio, and Textlocal SMS gateways and custom SMS API supporting CURL. Also, do install the Twilio library even if you are not using the Twilio SMS gateway for our extension.

• The admin has to select one of the API providers from Msg91, Twilio, Textlocal, or other CURL supporting API and add the API-related details obtained while registration to integrate the extension with the SMS gateway.
• The admin can enable Out of Stock Notification for a particular product from Catalog > Products > Product edit from the backend and set yes to the "Enable Out of Stock Notification" field.
• The admin can enable the option to show out-of-stock products in the frontend.
• Customers can get the details about the subscription from their account page, no matter they have subscribed using an Email or phone number. They can manage their subscription, i.e., view or delete, from their "My Account" section.
• Admin can keep the track of subscription of each product using the "Out of Stock" grid which allows him to decide the products' popularity and hence stock the store accordingly.
• The admin can export the list of subscribers for Out of Stock Products to study it for marketing purposes or products' demand.

How Does The Extension Work?

The admin can enable the extension from the backend to allow the store owner to send alerts about back-in-stock products. For that, configure the text for the subscription button, notification message to show on the frontend, notification subscription message, greeting text for Email, and back-in-stock notification message. Also, he can select the customer groups allowed to register for product back-in-stock notification and select the notification type to be either Email or SMS. 

The admin can select the API provider from Msg91, Twilio, Textlocal, or other CURL supporting API and add the API-related details obtained while registration to integrate the extension with the SMS gateway.

The admin can enable out of stock notification for a particular product from Catalog > Products > Product edit from the backend and set yes to the "Enable Out of Stock Notification" field.

He can also enable the option to show out-of-stock products in the front end.

Once configured, the guest and logged-in customer can subscribe to the back-in-stock notification as per the backend configuration and they can see the subscription success message. If already subscribed to a product, they are notified of the same with a message.

The registered customers can see and delete the list of notification subscriptions from their "My Account" section. They will receive an email when the product is back in stock.

Similarly, the customers can subscribe to out-of-stock notification SMS by entering their mobile number in the frontend. They can see the subscription success message. If already subscribed to a product, they are notified of the same with a message. They will receive an SMS when the product is back in stock.

In the case of subscriptions using phone numbers also, the registered customers can see the list of notification subscriptions from their My Account section. They will receive an SMS when the product is back in stock.

The admin can track the out-of-stock notification subscribers list in the backend grid.
