Back to topOverview
Back to topMagento's default product sorting is limited, which makes it hard to put the right products in front of shoppers on category and search pages. Improved Sorting for Magento 2 fixes that by extending native sorting with 19 strategies, product pinning, and pre-built indexes, so customers see the most relevant products first and your catalog stays fast even at scale.
With this extension, you can sort by behavioral and business signals such as bestsellers, most viewed, top rated, reviews count, newest, now in wishlists, biggest saving, and profit, and give each strategy its own label, direction, and position in the frontend dropdown. You can also pin specific products to the top of any category or search result regardless of the active sort, which is useful for featured, seasonal, or high-margin items. Performance is handled by seven pre-aggregated index tables that keep behavioral sorts fast instead of running slow live joins, with a daily cron that refreshes the data automatically. The extension supports OpenSearch, Elasticsearch, and GraphQL for headless and PWA storefronts, and adds SEO controls, CLI commands, and a REST API, giving merchandisers a complete toolkit for controlling how products are ordered across the store.
