How Does The Extension Work?
- The extension offers the "Manage Custom Carrier Trackers" backend grid that lists the stored carrier trackers.
- The admin can add a new tracker by assigning the tracker title, tracking URL, and activate the tracker.
- The admin can enable the extension and add custom carrier tracker by enabling it, adding tracker title, and selecting the tracker from the dropdown. The admin can add up to 10 custom carrier tracker the same way.
- Now when a customer places an order, the admin creates the invoice and the shipment for the order placed. While creating the shipment, the admin selects the tracking carrier and adds the tracking number for the order. After the shipment is generated, the admin can click on "Track Order" from the backend, the tracking URL opens up in a new window having the tracking information.
- The customer can directly track the order using the link in Email. Also, the customer can track orders from the "My Account" section under "My Orders". After the shipment is created, Email is sent to the customer with tracking information and link to track the order.
