How Does The Extension Work?

The admin needs to enable the Unitel Money for Magento 2 extension, enter a custom title, choose to show/hide the logo and choose the default payment action. The admin can also enable the sandbox mode as required. The admin needs to enter the API credentials received from the Unitel account, such as Consumer Key, Consumer Secret, Identifier, Security Credential, and ShortCode, to connect Unitel payments to Magento 2.

The admin needs to choose the default new order status, enable/disable debug mode as required, enter custom instructions, and set the minimum/maximum order total for the Unitel Payments. Optionally, the admin can choose to restrict the payment method to customers from only selected countries.

Once configured, the Unitel Payment method is displayed as one of the payment methods on the frontend. On choosing Unitel Money, the customers are required to enter their mobile number and authorize the payment. After successful payment, the customer can find complete details in the My Orders section. The admin can also find the payment details of the orders in the Sales > Orders > Order View backend grid.

The store admin can process online refunds and generate credit memos for the orders placed using Unitel Money.

Security & PCI Compliance:

Once the customer proceeds to pay using the Unitel Money method, they are asked to enter their registered mobile number and authorize the payment. The Unitel Money API checks for the funds in the wallet, captures the amount and completes the payment. The entire method is based on the customer's mobile number; no card details or other sensitive data is captured or stored during it. The transactions are carried through a secure method called Tokenization to collect the payment from the wallet.

Therefore, the Unitel Money for Magento 2 extension assures utmost payment security with no sensitive information stored in the Magento 2 environment.
