The extension integrates PayTrace payment gateway with Magento 2 store to capture secure online payments from the customers. The payments are processed with direct payment processing method where the customers can choose the PayTrace payment option at the checkout and enter their card details in the Magento 2 store itself to place the order. The payment is processed in the Magento store itself which results in handling more transactions in less time.
Moreover, the PayTrace payment gateway integration with Magento 2 facilitates multi factor authentication for tackling the credit card frauds. Thus, it ensures security which in turn improves the customer loyalty and their shopping experience in Magento 2 store.
The extension requires the customers to enter their credit card details directly at the checkout step in Magento 2 store. As the customer data is entered in Magento 2 store, it meets the SAQ A-EP level of PCI Compliance.

To commence using the PayTrace payment gateway, create a FREE account with PayTrace, set up sandbox account, and follow the steps given here to get started. Integrate Magento 2 store with the payment gateway using the Integrator ID, username, and password received during the registration. You need to contact the PayTrace for the pricing plans.

How does the extension work?
The admin can enable the extension to capture online payments via Paytrace securely. For that, he can enable the vault, set custom title, enable the display of PayTrace logo, set one of the payment actions to process the payment, enable sandbox mode if required, use Integrator ID, username and password to integrate PayTrace with Magento 2, set custom vault title, set status for the new orders placed through PayTrace, enable debug mode if required, configure custom instructions to display on checkout page, set minimum and maximum order total required to use PayTrace, and select the allowed countries to use PayTrace for payments.
Once configured, the customer can select PayTrace payment method at the checkout, enter the card details, and place order using the "Place Order" button. They can also tick the "Save for later use" checkbox to save their card details in vault for future transactions.
The customers can check their PayTrace payment details under "My Orders" tab and saved card details under "Stored Payment Methods" tab in their "My Account" section in the frontend.
Next time when the customers place the order, they can simply select the stored card and place the order quickly.
The admin can check the customers' PayTrace payment details from the order view section in the backend.
The admin can also use the PayTrace payment method while creating an order from the backend.
Security & PCI Compliance
Once the customers add products to the cart and proceed to pay using the PayTrace payment method, they are asked to add card details on-site, place the order, and complete the payment. The extension processes electronic payments in real-time and receive payment authorizations within 3 to 6 seconds. It uses JSON API that is designed as a REST API to process transactions. The customer data is stored within a 3 Tier high-security data center with end-to-end encrypted card readers. Merchants are required to be PCI Data Security Standard Compliant before using the PayTrace payment method. Since merchants do not store or process customer payment information, they will be able to handle more customers. The customer data is entered in Magento 2 and hence, the integration of the payment gateway with the Magento 2 store meets the SAQ A-EP level of PCI compliance.
