2. Does the status automatically turn into “Answered” when I reply to a form inquiry or do I have to manually assign? 

 The status automatically turns into “Answered” after you reply to the customer. You don’t have to manually change it.  

3.  What is the storage capacity in Contacts?   

You can save as many contacts as you want because it’s unlimited. 

4. Can I use a loading icon in gif format? 

 Yes, the Advanced Contact Form for Magento 2  allows you to upload icons in png, gif, and pdf. 

5.  Can I add fields to the form using this extension? 

The extension doesn’t support this feature. I recommend Blue Form Builder extension. It allows you to add fields, upload files, … and build many kinds of forms.
