    As competition for better shopping experience rises, merchants are challenged to find ways to stand out from it and gain customers’ loyalty. Adding extra services is one of them. By providing additional offers, like product insurance, extended warranty, check commission, gift wrap, rush delivery, etc. you get double advantages. First, there is an increase in revenue. And second, more retaining customers. If you’re satisfying shoppers, they come back and therefore buy from you again and again.

    Facts prove that 19% of buyers say that rush delivery is highly important for them, while 4% admit not buying a product because rush delivery isn’t offered. 40% of consumers will share a picture of a product if it comes in a unique or gift-like box. Also, adding extra fees will let you share your shipping and payment processing expenses with your store customers.   

     

    Feature Summary

    Product Fees

    With Multi Fees extension for Magento 2, you can add an unlimited number of services to product/service pages. On top of this, you can specify a fee name/ description/ position on the cart page. Also, it's possible to select one of the 4 cart fee input types: drop-down, radio-button, check-box or NEW hidden (aka required). The extension keeps adding NEW features. Some of the latest updates include the ability to:

    • choose products you wish to apply the fee to,
    • apply fees per a specific quantity of items, products, units of weight, as well as the amount spent,
    • calculate percentage from all products in the cart, as well as products that match certain conditions,
    • calculate fees using the default bundle product quantity setting.

     

    Shipping Fees 

    Add extra fees to share your shipping expenses with your customers. With the extension, you can create this type of fees for: 

    • any default or custom-created shipping method,
    • any Product Attributes and their combinations,
    • Cart Attribute (Subtotal, total items quantity or NEW Base Subtotal with a Discount),
    •  total Weight 

    For example, you can surcharge 10% if a customer selects the ECO Delivery shipping method or add a 5% fee if the UPS Ground method is selected. 

     

    Payment Fees 

    With the Multi Fees extension, you can assign extra fees to any default or custom-created Payment Method. This way, you can charge extra fees from customers who choose the 'Cash on Delivery' method or add a required 3% charge for those who what to checkout with PayPal.  Additionally, the extension offers improved compatibility with PayPal.

     

    Extra Fees Management

    Conveniently manage and customize all extra fees from the backend. With Multi Fees you can: 

    • specify fees as ‘one-time’ or ‘required’,
    • set a fee as 'hidden' (compulsory),
    • set a sorting order for multiple fees,
    • let shoppers leave comments and define a date for each fee (comes helpful for shipping or service implementation timeframe),

    Also, you can easily manage extra fees pricing:

    • choose between a fixed/ percentage price type,
    • set a price for each fee separately,
    • apply a percent fee to the order’s subtotal/tax /shipping & handling. 

     

    Extra Fees Conditions 

    Make your fees visible to specific customer groups or Store Views. This will help you customize offers according to the user’s location and shopping preferences. Disable or hide extra fees based on product/service fee conditions or a combination of conditions. With Multi Fees extension, you can set various conditions depending on: 

    • product types and attributes,
    • cart attribute (e.g. total weight, cart subtotal, etc.),
    • cart item attributes (e.g. total quantity in the cart, row total in the cart, price in the cart, etc.).
    • for shipping fees, cart attributes with shipping details (postcode, region, state, country),
    • for payment fees, cart attributes with billing details (postcode, region, state, country)

    NEW: For shipping and payment fees, you can create conditions for any default or custom-created payment/shipping methods.
