Overview
Back to topGoogle Tag Manager (GTM) is known as a tag management system that lets you manage and deploy marketing tags (code snippets or tracking pixels) on your site (or mobile app) without modifying the code. Facebook Pixel is an in-depth analytics tool that helps you better understand your advertising campaigns' effectiveness and the actions people take on your site, like adding an item to their shopping cart or visiting a page. With the help of the Magento 2 Google Tag Manager extension by Mageplaza, you can easily configure the Google Tag Manager and Facebook Pixel on your store. It also provides an excellent implementation of Google Analytics & Adwords, including Enhanced E-commerce and Conversion Tracking. The extension makes data measurement simple, quick, and friendly to any user. Just simple tag editing is needed; no more complicated source codes!
Key features:
- Simplify the management of GTM tags
- Support dynamic remarketing
- Integrate well with Google Analytics
- Integrate well with Facebook Pixel
Account & Pricing
To use the Mageplaza Google Tag Manager extension for Magento 2, the user needs to have a separate Google Tag Manager account, Google Analytics account, and Facebook Pixel account. These accounts are created separately and managed by their service providers.
For more details:
- Merchants need to create a separate Google Tag Manager account from here to use this extension. Additional fees may apply. For more details related to Google Tag Manager pricing, please click here.
- Also, the merchant needs to create a Facebook Pixel in your Facebook Business Manager. There is no cost incurred to create a pixel.
- To use the Facebook Pixel feature of this module, you must have a Facebook Business Account that is free to create. If you don't already have a Facebook Business account, click here.
- You may have to pay for Facebook Advertising Service. Extra fees should be taken into account when running Facebook Ad Campaigns.
Security
The module helps add, edit and enable tags/script tags to the source code of your site. It tracks data when an event is triggered.
Mageplaza Google Tag Manager extension does not read, collect and store any customers' payment data, including credit card details.
The module collects customer data when a purchase event is triggered (after an order is placed) to be for the Enhanced Conversion feature.
Customer data will be stored on the Magento server, not on the Google Tag Manager by Mageplaza.
Highlight Features
Simplify the management of GTM tags
For Google Analytics or Google Adwords, you must add many codes to the website's source, making your site load much slower than usual. With the help of the Magento 2 Google Tag Manager extension as a third party, you can solve this problem quickly. It handles all your script tags, so you only need to add its code to your website.
Support dynamic remarketing
If remarketing means showing ads to people who have previously visited your store, the Magento 2 Google Tag Manager module takes a further step that shows ads containing products and services they viewed. As the messages are tailored to particular audiences, dynamic remarketing helps you generate leads and sales by motivating visitors to return to your store to finish their actions.
Integrate well with Google Analytics
Magento 2 Google Tag Manager by Mageplaza integrates well with Google Analytics. This amazing combination offers five enhanced E-commerce Data Reports to help online store owners track their customers' behaviors.
- Shopping Behaviors. Identify customers' behaviors at each buying step (e.g., view products, add products to cart, or checkout).
- Checkout Behaviors. Identify how customers move through the checkout process.
- Product Performance. Assess the performance of products in different ways, such as quantity, price, revenue, and user engagement (viewing, adding, and removing items).
- Sales Performance. Track your sales in detail.
- Product List Performance. Track details about your Product List Views, Add to Cart, Checkouts, and Revenue.
It's easy and quick to configure this feature in the backend. You just need to turn on Google Analytics for E-commerce.
Integrate well with Facebook Pixel
Mageplaza Google Tag Manager also includes Facebook Pixel. As mentioned above, Facebook Pixel enables online stores to track conversions for better sales funnels and marketing strategies. Other benefits include:
- Capture website visitor data
- Build retargeting lists and advertising audiences
- Keep track of standard, custom events, and conversions
- Provide in-depth reports through Facebook Analytics
This feature is excellent for running retargeting ads on Facebook.
