Problems & Solutions

Firstly, the default Magento 2 system frustrates mobile shoppers with its pagination, requiring them to scroll back to the top after filtering. It is a time-consuming and irritating process, especially with multiple pages of results.  However, the Layered Navigation extension by Mageplaza implements an infinite-scrolling feature to keep customers on one page, reduce clicks, and improve mobile-friendliness. After filtering, it automatically scrolls to the top of the page to let customers easily view results.

Secondly, the default Magento 2 has limitations in search accuracy. Customers can only select the fixed price range that the stores set, and can only select one filter at a time, which can be frustrating, especially when dealing with a long list of filter options. Meanwhile, the Layered Navigation extension helps enhance accuracy with search narrow-down features. With the Smart Price Slider, shoppers can choose any price range and select multiple filters simultaneously to find the desired products quickly. Moreover, Quick Lookup helps shoppers instantly search for the attribute or filter option they need.

With the default Magento 2 limitation, there's no option for customers to search based on brand name. However, with the Layered Navigation extension, stores can boost brand awareness and sales by filtering products by brands, navigating shoppers instantly to their preferred brand's products.

Additionally, the default system reloads the entire page every filtering time and produces unoptimized URLs, which is difficult to remember and harms SEO. Meanwhile, the Layered Navigation extension by Mageplaza helps improve loading speed significantly via AJAX technology, customize URLs, and configure elements like meta titles, meta keywords, and meta descriptions to increase store SEO rankings.

Highlight features

Improve result accuracy with various custom filters

Mageplaza's Layered Navigation extension provides a variety of filter customization options and allows the use of multiple category filters at once to improve result accuracy. This module offers many advanced and trendy filters, such as new arrivals, best sellers, in-stock, top-rated, and size, color, material, etc.

Improve searching speed with Quick Lookup (Pro & Ult editions)

Large businesses with many products and attributes can make it difficult for customers to find their favorite items. Quick LookUp, a search box that allows shoppers to insert attribute keywords to get instant results, can help shoppers overcome this challenge.

Quick product filtering via Smart Price Slider

Mageplaza Layered Navigation offers an interactive Smart Price Slider that allows users to select a desired price range to narrow down product search results. There are 6 available options: Default, Flat UI, HTML5, Modern, Nice White, and Simple Dark.

Save time with the Scroll-to-the-top after-filtering feature (Pro & Ult editions)

Instead of manually scrolling back to the top of the page after applying filters, as is the case with the default Magento setup, the system will now automatically return to the top of the page for your visitors. This improvement guarantees a more streamlined and effective browsing experience, conserving valuable time and effort for your users.

Provide instant search results suggestions with advanced Ajax Search

Ajax Search is included in Magento 2 Layered Navigation. Customers would see search results instantly when typing the first letter in the search box that is displayed in a dropdown without being directed to another page. Additionally, administrators can configure it to show 10 targeted products when users click on the search box, promoting specific products for sales.

Create a mobile-friendly experience via Infinite Scroll [Ult edition]

Infinite scroll is an essential technique on e-commerce websites to automatically load more products as the user scrolls down the page, especially for mobile devices, which account for 75% of all visiting traffic. This eliminates the need for pagination which can be cumbersome and disruptive to the user experience.

Shop with Shop By Brand

In the ultimate version, when combined with the "Shop by Brand" extension, the Layered Navigation module enables shoppers to effortlessly discover products from their preferred brands. The functionality is akin to filtering based on product attributes, with the distinguishing attributes in this case being the brands themselves.

Keep your store SEO-optimized

This extension allows users to optimize SEO elements for their stores by improving page loading speed with the support of Ajax Loading technology. Additionally, With the SEO-friendly URL integrated into the module, users can easily optimize their store site as well as leave an impression in customer's minds. Also, you can set up meta titles, keywords, and descriptions to make sure your products are easy to find in search results and easy to browse on your website.
