Custom Flat Rate Shipping

Magento Open Source and Adobe Commerce include only one built-in Flat Rate carrier, which forces many merchants to present a single generic “Flat Rate” option at checkout or invest in custom development to offer multiple courier services. Custom Flat Rate Shipping by MageMaclean solves this by letting you create unlimited named couriers—such as Standard Ground, Two-Day Express, or Local Courier—and attach multiple flat-rate methods to each courier with independent titles, prices, handling fees, country restrictions, sort order, and store-view availability. All setup happens in the Magento Admin: use the couriers grid under MageMaclean → Additional Shipping → Couriers for quick inline edits or open a courier form to configure methods (per-order or per-item pricing, fixed or percentage handling fees, enabled state, and allowed countries), then enable the carrier under Stores → Configuration → Sales → Delivery Methods → Additional Shipping. On the storefront, shoppers and guests see your courier and method names with calculated flat prices during cart shipping estimation and at checkout, displayed alongside Magento’s other carriers without theme changes. The same custom options appear when staff place orders in the Admin. You can tailor shipping for regional couriers, economy versus expedited flat rates, store-view-specific local delivery, or B2B and B2C catalogs—all without PHP or layout XML. Integrators can also manage couriers programmatically through the REST API (/V1/courier/*).
