How It Works:

First, the admin must install Image Optimizer Extension for Magento 2. Next, enable the extension and apply configuration settings for image quality and directories to be included and excluded for optimization. Admin can perform various actions of image optimization, like scan images, bulk optimization, and skip optimization, from the Image Manager tab in the backend. Once the configuration is completed, the admin can check in the front end that the file size of the images gets reduced.
