Overview

Product attributes define the characteristics of products which helps customers to search, filter, and compare products based on specific criteria. But sometimes, customers need help understanding the meaning of some product attributes. In this case, providing customers with the necessary information about the product attributes is beneficial. In the default Magento 2 installation, there is no built-in feature to add descriptions to attributes. However, with the help of an attribute description extension, you can provide additional information and details about each attribute.

Attribute Description Extension for Magento 2 allows you to add descriptions to product attributes and provide flexibility in managing attribute descriptions. Using the extension, the admin can manage product descriptions easily from the store admin panel. The product attribute description is shown to customers on the product and category pages.

Features:

  • Add attribute descriptions for all the product attributes.
  • The extension adds a manage attribute description tab for each product attribute in the backend.
  • Add any number of product attribute descriptions to your Magento 2 store.
  • Show product attribute details on the product and category page.
  • Ideal for stores that have complex product attributes.
  • Helps customers in making purchasing decisions and improves their shopping experience.

How It Works:

Initially, the store owner needs to download the Attribute Description Extension for Magento 2 and enable it from the backend configuration. As the extension is enabled, it will add a Manage attribute description to all the product attributes. Admin can add the attribute information from the backend Product Attributes grid. Once the information is added, it is displayed in the front end when the customer hovers over the attribute label.
