Overview

Mage2Expert Quick Order is an extension for Magento 2 that gives B2B buyers, wholesale customers, and repeat shoppers a dedicated bulk-ordering page where they search by SKU or product name, paste a comma-separated SKU list, or upload a CSV file of SKUs and quantities — then add everything to the cart in a single click. Every product type is supported, including configurable, bundle, and products with custom options: a single, unified popup resolves any required selection — size, color, bundle choice, or custom option — before the item joins the grid. Items are added to the cart using Magento's own buy-request mechanics, so the cart and checkout look exactly as if each product had been added from its own product page, with no custom templates or rewrites involved. The result is a fast reordering and bulk-purchasing workflow that cuts a multi-product order down from dozens of page visits to a single page and a handful of clicks.

Features

  • SKU / Name Autocomplete Search — type two or more characters in any grid row to see live suggestions with thumbnail, name, SKU, price, special/tier price hints, and stock status.
  • Paste a SKU List — add many products in one step from a comma or newline separated list, with no file required.
  • CSV Bulk Import — upload a sku,qty CSV file with a one-click sample template download; the parser auto-detects sku/skus and qty/quantity header columns.
  • Universal Option Resolver — one popup handles configurable attributes, bundle selections, and custom options (text, text area, dropdown, radio, checkbox, multi-select, date, date-time, time) for any product, in any combination.
  • Native Cart Integration — configurable products show the parent name with the chosen attributes, bundle items list every selection, and custom options render exactly as a normal product-page add to cart.
  • Live Pricing Per Row — price and subtotal recalculate instantly as quantities change, alongside a running order total for the whole grid.
  • Per-Row Quantity Stepper — quick +/− controls plus a manual quantity input on every row.
  • Configurable Grid Size — set the default number of empty rows shown on page load and a hard maximum row count to protect performance on large imports.
  • Flexible Post-Add Redirect — send customers to the shopping cart, straight to checkout, or keep them on the Quick Order page after adding items.
  • Guest & Customer Group Access Control — allow or block guest access and restrict the entire feature to specific customer groups (e.g. Wholesale only).
  • Configurable Header Link — an optional Quick Order link in the site header with a customizable label and URL key.
  • Clear Import Feedback — every import reports how many products were added and lists any SKUs that could not be matched.
  • Enable / Disable Without Uninstalling — a master switch hides the page, header link, and ajax endpoints while preserving every configuration value.
  • Zero Core Code Modifications — built entirely on Magento's standard controller, layout XML, and cart APIs. No class rewrites, no patches, safe alongside Magento upgrades and other extensions.

How It Works

After enabling the extension, go to Stores → Configuration → Magento Expert → Quick Order to set the default and maximum grid size, choose which import methods to expose, and pick where customers land after adding items to the cart. Customers then reach the Quick Order page from the header link or its direct URL, fill in SKUs or product names across the grid rows — or import many at once via a pasted list or CSV file — resolve any required options through the Select Options popup, and click Add to Cart or Add to Cart & Checkout. No reindexing, cache flush, or per-product setup is required for the feature to work.

Bulk Import: Pasted Lists and CSV Files

Two independent, individually togglable import methods cover every bulk-ordering scenario:

  • Pasted SKU list — ideal for quick reorders where a customer already has a comma-separated SKU list in hand, e.g. from a previous order confirmation or a price list. Every matched SKU is placed into the grid with a quantity of 1.
  • CSV file upload — built for larger, quantity-specific orders. A downloadable sample CSV template (sku, qty) makes it easy for customers to prepare their own files in a spreadsheet. Files are capped at 1 MB and the configured maximum row count, with a clear message reporting any rows that were skipped or could not be matched.

Universal Option Resolver

Quick Order does not limit bulk ordering to simple products. Any product with a required selection — a configurable attribute, a required bundle option, or a required custom option — is flagged with a Select Options button. A single popup renders whichever combination of option types that specific product actually has: attribute dropdowns for configurable products, single or multi-select pickers with live pricing for bundle options, and text, selection, or date/time fields for custom options. Once resolved, the chosen options are shown beneath the product name in the grid and the row is ready to add to cart with accurate pricing. File-upload custom options are the one option type that cannot be collected in a grid row; Quick Order detects this case and asks the customer to add that specific product from its own product page instead.

Cart & Checkout Integration

Every Quick Order item is added using Magento's standard buy-request mechanics rather than a simplified or pre-resolved SKU. Configurable products keep their parent name and selected attributes in the cart, bundle products list every chosen selection, and custom options appear exactly as they would from a normal product-page add to cart. Quantities and subtotals remain editable from the cart itself, and because no custom cart templates or rewrites are used, Quick Order stays compatible with other extensions that hook into the standard Magento cart and checkout flow.

Use Cases

  • B2B and wholesale stores — let trade buyers place large, repeat orders from a known SKU list or purchase order spreadsheet in minutes instead of hours.
  • Replacement parts and MRO catalogs — technicians and procurement staff can paste a parts list straight from a work order without searching the catalog page by page.
  • Reordering loyal customers — shoppers who already know their preferred SKUs can skip browsing entirely and go straight to checkout.
  • Stores with configurable and bundle catalogs — bulk order workflows that would normally break on variant products work seamlessly thanks to the universal option resolver.
  • Sales and account teams placing orders on behalf of customers — quickly build a multi-item order from a customer's email or CSV without manual page-by-page entry.
