International Telephone Input

Mage2Expert International Telephone Input is an extension for Magento 2 that replaces the plain phone number field on every form across your store with a searchable country flag dropdown, an automatically applied international dial code, and live, country-aware formatting and digit validation. The moment a customer lands on a page with a phone field, the extension detects their country from their IP address and pre-selects the matching flag, so the dial code is already correct before they type a single digit. As they type, the number is formatted to match the pattern used in that country, and — if enabled — checked against the exact digit count expected for it, so invalid numbers are caught before the form is even submitted. The selected country is remembered for every address going forward: reopening a saved address in the Address Book, Checkout, or Multishipping always restores its original flag, even after the address's Country field has been changed. From that point on, the flag and dial code travel with the address everywhere it is displayed — the Address Book, the Checkout summary and saved-address list, the customer's My Orders view, and the Admin order view — with the phone number kept as a fully clickable, dialable link throughout. Store owners get full control from one configuration screen: every form the extension touches, the IP geolocation endpoint used for detection, the default fallback country, and the digit-validation rule per country can all be turned on, off, or customized per store view, and a single master switch can hide every flag instantly without losing any saved data. Because the integration is built entirely with Magento plugins, an EAV attribute, and RequireJS mixins rather than template overrides, it stays compatible with theme and core updates.

• Contact Us Form Integration — the storefront Contact Us form gets the same country flag dropdown as every other phone field.
• Order & Account Visibility — the flag and dial code are shown on the customer's My Orders view and the Admin order view, with the phone number kept as a working tel: link.
• REST API — GET /V1/inttelephone/countries returns the full country and dial-code table, and POST /V1/inttelephone/validate checks a phone number against the configured digit rule for a given country, both callable without authentication.
• Store-View Scoped Configuration — every setting, including which forms the extension applies to and the digit-validation rules, can be configured independently per store view.
• Enable / Disable without Uninstalling — a master Enable switch in Stores → Configuration → Magento Expert → International Telephone Input instantly hides every flag and dial code across the store while leaving every saved country code intact. Re-enabling restores everything immediately.
• Zero Core Code Modifications — built entirely with Magento plugins, an EAV/quote address attribute, and RequireJS mixins. No class rewrites, no template overrides, no patches — safe alongside Magento upgrades and other extensions.

How It Works

After enabling the extension, go to Stores → Configuration → Magento Expert → International Telephone Input and confirm which forms should use the flag dropdown under Apply To. Set the IP Geolocation API Endpoint and Default Country in General Settings, then add any country-specific rows under Phone Number Digit Validation if you want to enforce a digit count for specific countries. From that point on, every phone field on the enabled forms automatically shows the flag dropdown, detects the visitor's country, formats the number live, and — for saved addresses — restores the previously selected country whenever the address is reopened. No further configuration is required for the flag and dial code to start appearing on Checkout summaries, order views, and the Address Book.
