Back to topManaging taxes is tricky, especially when dealing with exemptions. The Tax Exemption extension for Magento makes it easy and used to provide the tax-free benefits for the eligible customer who uploads a Tax Exempt certificate from the “My Account” section in the storefront.
Once the Admin reviews and approves the tax-exempt request from the customer, along with the expiration date, the customer will be able to see the tax exemption option in the checkout.
Admin can also notify the customer via email while approving the tax exemption.

- Customers can upload their certificate in the My Account section.
- Enable or disable tax exemption at any time from the Magento backend.
- Set expiration dates for certificates so they are handled automatically.
- Customers get email updates when their certificate is approved or close to expiring.
- Customers are also able to see the expiry date and exemption status in the account information page.
- Customers can choose whether to use their tax exemption for a specific order at checkout.
- A separate tax class exemption is available for shipping.
- Customizable email templates are included for sending notifications.
