GA4 Event Master Extension

The GA4 (Google Analytics 4) Event Master extension integrates the latest version of Google Analytics with Adobe Commerce Cloud and Magento by automatically creating scripts, with the help of a public ID. Key Features

a) Enable/Disable the GA4 Event Master Module on the Backend
    This functionality enables merchants to activate or deactivate the GA4 Event Master extension directly from the backend. To access this function, navigate to Settings > Configurations > General Configurations

b) Enable/Disable the GA4 Events
    GA4 Event Master provides robust event tracking capabilities, empowering users to control the types of events that are sent to Google Analytics. Merchants have the flexibility to enable or disable GA4 events like Add to Cart, Remove From Cart, Proceed to Checkout, and others, based on specific requirements. This feature ensures that merchants can tailor their event tracking strategy to align with their business objectives and gather insights that matter most to them.

c) Enable/Disable Page Speed Optimization
    Loading JavaScript through Google tags can potentially impact the loading speed of a website. In the GA4 Event Master extension, merchants have the option to enable or disable ‘Google Tag Manager’. With this functionality, JavaScript will load only upon the user’s initial click, scroll, or touch with the mouse. Enabling this feature can significantly enhance page speed performance, contributing to a smoother and faster user experience on the website.

d) Export Google Tag Manager (GTM) Tag Container
    The events on Google Analytics when manually created can be time-consuming. With the Export GTM Tag Container feature on the GA4 Event Master extension, the events can be easily synchronized from Adobe Commerce Cloud to Google Analytics. To enable this:
     1. Click the ‘Generate JSON Container and Download File’ button to initiate the download of the JSON file.
     2. Once the JSON file is downloaded, proceed to import it into Google Tag Manager (GTM).
     3. Navigate to the ‘Variables’ section within GTM.
     4. Find and choose ‘GA4 Page View.’
     5. Adjust the Measurement ID within the settings of the ‘GA4 Page View’ variable based on the requirement.
