Overview

Extra Fee from FS20 Studio adds configurable, rule-based fees to the cart and checkout - charged automatically when conditions match, or offered to the customer as a paid option they choose themselves. Rules use the same condition tree, website and customer group scoping merchants already know from cart price rules, so a service charge, rush-processing fee, insurance add-on or eco surcharge can be built without custom code. Once a rule is active, the fee appears everywhere totals do: cart, checkout, order view, order emails, the order PDF, invoices and credit memos, and it is included in the amounts sent to PayPal.

Features

  • Two rule types: auto-applied, charged automatically as soon as conditions match, and manually applied, where the customer opts in at checkout.
  • Three auto rule actions: percent of product price, a fixed amount per item, and a single fixed amount spread across the whole cart.
  • Manual rules present their own selectable options as checkboxes, radio buttons or a select, and can be marked required to block order placement until the customer chooses.
  • Full sales rule condition tree, with website and customer group scoping, sort order and stop-further-rules-processing, matching native Magento cart price rules.
  • Store view scoped labels for both rules and their options, so fee names can be worded or translated differently per storefront.
  • Fees are reflected in cart and checkout totals, the order view, order emails and the order PDF, and carry through to invoices and credit memos.
  • Native customer-facing selectors for both the Luma cart and checkout and the Hyv cart and checkout (via Magewire), so either frontend gets a working UI out of the box.
  • REST API endpoints to read available fee options and save a customer's selection, covering logged-in customer, cart ID and guest cart flows.
  • Every selection is re-validated server side on every request, rejecting invalid, ineligible or duplicate option choices even if the storefront payload is tampered with.
  • The fee is included in the amounts sent to PayPal, so PayPal-based payment flows total correctly.
  • Enable or disable globally or per website and store view from the store configuration.
