Overview

Google Analytics is a free tool to track your Magento website traffic, campaign, and conversion data. Create a sales funnel in Google Analytics to understand where potential customers are 'dropping off' during the checkout process, to improve your store and boost conversions. Track every step of the checkout process, including sections dynamically retrieved via AJAX during checkout.

This extension will send additional page views to your already configured Google Analytics account during the checkout so you will see exactly at which steps your customers are not continuing. Maybe your form has too many fields, maybe the shipping costs are too high or confusing, maybe additional positive re-enforcement messaging is required? Once you have the data you can focus on what's needed to lift conversion rates.

Account & Pricing

A separate Google Analytics account is required to use this extension - sign up for an account here. Additional fees may apply.

Features

  • Tightly integrated with the Magento core Google Analytics module - no extra set-up required
  • Send extra page views to Google Analytics to gain insights into what your customers are doing while checking out
  • New visible steps in Google Analytics are Email Entered, Get Shipping Rates, Proceeded to Payment, Click Place Order before finally getting to Checkout Success. Click Place Order is particularly useful if you are taking payment via 3rd party site redirect
  • Easy setup in Google Analytics with our provided goal template
  • Page names are automatically normalized to avoid counting the same page in different locations (http://example.com/contact/index/index is the same page as http://example.com/contact after all).
  • Use Demographics and Interests Reports in Google Analytics by enabling  Display Advertising Features
  • Use Enhanced Link Attribution to view in Google what links on your page get used
