    Account & Pricing

    To use DHL Express Comprehensive Shipping you need to have an account with a carrier DHL. To create an account, contact your nearest DHL office or create an account at dhl.com. As a result, you should have a Site ID, Password, and Shipping Number. Payments for delivery are set by the DHL carrier only.  DHL Express Comprehensive Shipping extension does not charge for shipping, creating labels, and getting shipping rates. Using the DHL Express Comprehensive Shipping extension, you will pay only fees that apply to DHL when you ship packages. There are no additional fees associated with this service.

    Thermal & PDF Shipping Labels

    The creation of shipping labels is possible both manually and automatically, and even on a schedule. The DHL Express Comprehensive Shipping extension allows you to associate a shipping label with an order, shipment, or credit memo. All labels are stored on your server and you can access them at any time from the admin interface of your Magento site. Before creating each shipping label manually, you have the opportunity to select the required shipping method from those provided by DHL Express and immediately see the shipping cost. In automatic mode, labels are created either according to the method chosen by the buyer when ordering or at the minimum / maximum price of all DHL Express methods. 

    Paperless Commercial Invoice

    DHL Express Comprehensive Shipping supports worldwide shipping. For delivery abroad, the extension can register a paperless (or paper) customs invoice (International Invoice). The Paperless Trade (PLT) toggle attaches the signed invoice image directly to the DHL shipment, removing the need to physically print and stamp paper copies. Supported settings include Harmonized and Schedule B codes, Dangerous Goods and Hazardous Materials marking, Terms of Shipment (Incoterms), Reason for Export, Sold To Address, Additional Declaration Text, VAT / Tax / EORI identifiers for both shipper and consignee, and more. 

    Shipping Rates & Shipping Methods

    Get shipping prices on checkout just like on dhl.com. Shipping prices usually depend on insurance, the declared price of the parcel, weight, dimensions, and the selected service. All of these items are taken into account by the DHL Express Comprehensive Shipping extension. The cost of the method can be static or dynamic. Display of prices and methods is bounded by configurable limits. You can create as many shipping methods as you need and map each one to a DHL service. 

    Payment, COD, and Insurance

    Customize the payer to match your business processes. Shipping can be paid by the Shipper or a Third Party, while Duties and Taxes can be paid by the Recipient or the Shipper. You can regulate insurance and choose whether the declared value covers products only or includes discounts and fees. A Taxpayer Identification number (Tax / VAT / EORI / EIN) can be attached when required. If the buyer wants to pay for the goods upon receipt, you can use the COD (Cash on Delivery) option. 

    Return Shipping Labels & RMA

    Creating return shipping labels is as easy as creating regular shipping labels. A return label can be generated alongside the outbound label in a single pass. The administrator can also let the buyer create and print return labels directly from the customer account. 

    Pickup & Tracking

    Order a parcel pickup directly from the admin panel of your online store. Choose the labels for which a pickup is needed, and the extension sends the request to DHL. The schedule can also create pickups automatically inside the configured time window. Once your packages are en route, the tracking poller queries DHL on a schedule for each shipment until the package is delivered or DHL returns a terminal status. You can see all the checkpoints the package has passed and its current location. 

    Printing

    Printing is one of the most important steps when working with shipping labels. The recommended desktop bridge is el-Print (see https://extmag.com/el-print.html); QZ Tray (see https://qz.io/) is also supported. Thermal labels can be sent directly to ZPL / EPL printers; PDF labels print on any standard inkjet or laser printer. 

    Configuration

    The possibilities of the extension are virtually unlimited thanks to flexible settings. Each field can be scoped per default, website, store, shipping direction, or destination country, so a single Magento installation can drive multiple regions with different DHL accounts and service combinations. The settings are intuitive and ship with sensible defaults. Settings for domestic and international shipments can differ; regular and return labels can be configured independently; and the Automatic, Mass and Manual label flows each have their own toggles for invoice and shipment creation. 

    Hyva Theme & Hyva Checkout

    Storefronts built on the Hyva Theme or Hyva Checkout are supported through the companion module extmag/shiplab-hyva. The companion ships native Hyva templates for the access-point picker and shipping method list, so the DHL carrier renders consistently with the rest of a Hyva checkout.
